[JetMax Cube Angle Calculator]
An AI-powered vision system that uses an overhead camera on the JetMax platform to measure a cube's rotation in real time, reading 0° when straight and updating live as the cube is turned.
An AI-powered vision system built on the JetMax platform that uses an overhead-mounted camera to detect a cube placed on a table and calculate its rotational angle in real time. The system identifies the cube's edges and corners, establishing a 0-degree reference when the cube sits perfectly straight, then continuously recalculates the angle as the cube is slid or rotated.
This kind of orientation awareness is a core requirement for any robotic system that needs to interact precisely with an object — for example verifying a part is correctly aligned before a pick-and-place or assembly step. Rather than relying on physical sensors like encoders or protractors, the entire measurement is done through contour and corner detection alone, making it a lightweight, non-contact way to give a robotic arm real-time awareness of an object's rotation, and a foundation for future auto-alignment correction.
